Changes to Microsoft’s Data & AI Certifications

Of all the Azure solution architecture elements, the Data & AI product set tends to have the most updates to the platform and the certifications. In a recent Microsoft blog post, We’re taking Azure certifications for data and AI to the next level, the team announced some changes, but also some new exams. Let’s highlight some of the referenced.

The following changes were announced for February 23, 2021:

For the Azure AI Engineer Associate certification,Exam AI-102: Designing and Implementing a Microsoft Azure AI Solution replaces Exam AI-100. You can find the skill outline here, Exam AI-102: Designing and Implementing a Microsoft Azure AI Solution – Skills Measured. To start preparing, check out some refreshed content on Microsoft Learn.

The Azure Data Engineer Associate certification, Exam DP-203: Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure will replace both Exam DP-200 and Exam DP-201. The updated skills for the role are aligned with the data engineering skills required to build analytics solutions. The full skills measured outline is now available with the Microsoft Learn content also available.
