Azure Mobile Services Walkthrough – My First screencast!!
As they say, everything has to start somewhere. 🙂 I have produced some screen casts in the past, way past!! I have a new setup and wanted to try it out. Using Camtasia 2 for the MAC, I decided to produce a screencast and publish it to YouTube as you learn more with a real goal and deadline in mind rather than just playing around.
This screencast walks you through the creation of an Azure Mobile Service and the demonstration code that is provided. At the end of the 6 minute video you will have a website that accepts input and stores it in an Azure SQL database.
I do feel that a good number of BI solutions requires the need to accept input from a user. Being able to quickly put up a web page that is connected to a back end is important to many of these solutions.
More as a learning experience in video production, I produced this video and it came out better than I expected. I found that the biggest learning experience revolved around the audio. Perhaps louder and more natural, 🙂 , better with more practice.
I have shared the video below, would love to hear your comments and suggestions. As I will be doing more internal community screencasts, I will also produce some for public consumption.
Hope you enjoy!
